  • Cut your jeans patch so that it is larger than the hole in your jeans.
  • Cut a small hole in the patch large enough to feed the jean rivet button through.
  • Cut a piece of plastic canvas to about 1″ x 1″ and round the corners.
  • Feed the front of the jean rivet through the jeans from the front to the back.

How do you fix a stud button on jeans?

Instructions:

  1. Take the stud from your new button and push it through the fabric on the righthand side of the hole caused by the old button (illustrations are below).
  2. Place the new button head face down on a towel and on a firm surface.
  3. Line up the stud with the hole in the button.
